Governor's paroles : Governor A. B. Chandler, 1955-1959.

These records document the governor's authority to issue paroles to those incarcerated in state prisons. Included are parole recommendation forms for individual prisoners, sent to the governor by the Department of Welfare, which had jurisdiction over the prison system at this time. The forms list prisoner's name and age, crime and sentence, county, and date received at the prison. Also included are lists of prisoners paroled in each month.
